ABSTRACT Facial overfilled syndrome is a commonly-observed complication of soft-tissue filler use and is characterized by excessive facial volumization, resulting in a distortion of facial functional anatomy and topography. Using a 3-D imaging system (the Quantificare 3D LifeViz® Micro), a validated facial topography quantification tool, the author demonstrates the features of facial overfilled syndrome and provides an hypotheses for the causes as well as discuss how dermal filler overload can be produced by inaccurately assessing a patient’s face, selecting inappropriate fillers, and placing products incorrectly.
